Richard Rice

The Openness of God, 1980, Dr. Richard Rice. This leading advocate of open theism and theology professor retired in June 2020 from Loma Linda University. Hear Dr. Rice interviewed on the radio by a co-founder of opentheism.org. Dr. Rice's first Openness of God book was published 14 years before he co-authored the famed 1994 book by the same title with Pinnock, Hasker, Basinger, and Sanders. Rice has a relaxed and interesting discussion of open theism and recent developments, and then goes back in history to consider the way that Arminius himself wrestled with the question of God's foreknowledge.
